The Summer Fayre on the 9th June certainly was buzzing, with all the stalls doing very well, in fact we raised €3524.61 for church funds! Most of the stalls were up and running by 8.30am and canny shoppers arrived nice and early to scoop up the bargains. One Spanish family must have filled 8 bags from the busy bric a brac stall! Dudley successfully finished his bottle stall and the cakes went down a treat. Resistance was futile! The books proved popular as did the new toiletries stall and the shoes and handbags. The bacon rolls had an endless queue; the smell, even to a vegetarian, was mouth wateringly good! There were also cards and preserves, jewelry and cava and shortbread treats!
A busy, busy morning, with many delighted people taking up their raffle prizes. So all in all, a worthwhile and well attended event
