Easter Sunday at Llanos
Easter Sunday at Llanos was enjoyed by all as an uplifting celebration as well as some lovely little extras! The service was opened by our three tenors, Jim, David and Edwin who gave a beautiful rendition of "The Holy City." The hits on the Llanos facebook page are nearing 300! They can be seen on the website by clicking here
We shared the Eucharist followed by Rev Vincent renewing our Baptismal Vows and our Paschal Candle was blessed and little Meadow held it while Rev Vincent lit it to symbolise Christ as Light of the World. We also watched a Montage of the Easter Cross being built up by members of the congregation while Anne, from the Cariatiz Orchestra played "There is a Redeemer" on the flute, so haunting and beautiful.
During communion Kath gently sang a solo of "When I survey the Wondrous Cross", which added so much to the beauty and reflection of the Eucharist. Andrea closed the service with a poem she had written as a tribute to her mum
All the hymns were joyful and it was a lovely service followed by Easter Eggs, Easter Bonnets and a wonderful array of cakes! Such a gifted church family!"
