Carols by Candlelight - Llanos
Our little church was truly bursting at the seams last night as nearly 160 came to join us in our celebrations. Some sadly arrived and left as there was " no room in the Inn!" But the back rooms were also full, with some people standing outside. We were thrilled to see so many children join us . The church looked beautiful, dressed for Christmas with masses of candles.
The service was full of lovely items of worship, with overhead projected images to enhance the musical items of "Holy Night", a solo by Tony and "The Snowman" to accompany Members of the Cariatriz Orchestra who played their own rendition of "Walking inThe Air".
We enjoyed the Llanos Church Choir which was beautifully enhanced by members of the Incognito Choir who joined us for a Spanish Christmas lullaby.
Father Alan gave us an address on kindness at Christmas to each other because of God's great kindness to us, and Margie shared some thought on the Snowman for Christmas for the children. All in all, a wonderful celebration of our Saviour's birth, with softly lit tableaux along the outside of the church depicting the Nativity for people to enjoy as they arrived.
Mulled wine and mince pies were served to over 100 people and I think that next year, we need a bigger church! But what a great problem to have!
Many thanks to all who came and all involved, a very memorable evening.
