Welcome to The Anglican Chaplaincy
of Costa Almería and Costa Cálida
We are based in the beautiful coastal resort of Mojácar
in the sun-drenched south-east corner of enchantment in the province of Almería in Spain's Andalucía region.
Our worship is in the Church of San Pascual de Baylon
on the hillside in the village of
El Agua de Enmedio.
This Anglican Church in the Archdeaconry of Gibraltar comes under the
auspices of the Archdeaco
n The Ven. David Sutch, (on the right) assisted by our own Priest, The Rev'd Canon Hugh Broad, as Area Dean. The Archdeaconry includes Andorra, The Balearics, Spain, Portugal, Morocco, Madeira and the Canary Islands. The Bishop of this Diocese, which takes in the whole of Europe from Vladivostok in Northern Russia to the Canaries, is The Right Rev'd Geoffrey Rowell (2001), who carries the title of The Bishop of Gibraltar in Europe. The Suffragan Bishop is The Right Rev'd David Hamid (2002). Both are based in Westminster, London. The Diocesan website can be found at
